Sustainability Top Ten - Solar Dok

Part of the Sustainability Top Ten Tour at Mizzou Mizzou’s Solar Dok was built on February 20, 2012 and serves as an outdoor charging station for students.

The solar panels atop the umbrella collect sunlight, which is then converted into energy and stored in the base. The Dok needs no additional electrical source and can even operate at night with the energy stored in the batteries.
