Due to the forecast for tomorrow evening, we are rescheduling the AHL PTA Carnival to next Friday, May 15th from 5:00-7:00 PM. This will also give us an opportunity to sell additional raffle tickets as this is a large fundraising piece of the carnival. If you have sold your first two booklets of tickets and would like more, send in the envelope to the classroom teacher or reach out to Mrs. Sarff [email protected] or RaShel Johnson [email protected]. The top sellers will receive an Amazon gift card 1st $75, 2nd $50, 3rd $25 Grand prize drawing will be for Nexplayground Gaming System $300 value. Silent Auction items will also still be accepted!

Trusty Huskies: We need your help!

The Columbia Fund for Academic Excellence was established in the 1979-1980 school year with an initial gift from Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lewis. Other individuals, community organizations, and businesses have contributed to the fund since that time. The fund was established for the purpose of making cash awards each year to educators in the Columbia Public Schools who are selected as exemplary in certain categories.

We have selected our exemplary educators and hope that you can help us in getting them recognized by the district! If your child had one of these teachers, please tell us about their positive experience so that we can share your story. You can do so by filling out the form below!

We had such a great start to our day— it was spent with our Good Dads Columbia MO group for breakfast! Our father figures brought their to AHL at 7 AM in order to have a little one-on-one (or two 😉) time. We talked about the importance of reading while making bookmarks to go in our favorite books. Talk about !

Our Fancy Lunch Writers Celebration is always one of our favorite days of the year! It takes a lot of courage to read a piece of your writing in front of 100 people but you would have never known that based on how well our did. We’re already looking forward to next years celebration!

Join us for Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary Trivia Night on February 7th, sponsored by the PTA!

This fun, adults-only event is a great opportunity for teachers, families, and community members to come together for a night of laughter, friendly competition, and connection.

Friends and family outside of Alpha Hart Lewis are welcome to join your team.

Teams are welcome to bring snacks to enjoy at their table, along with additional non-alcoholic beverages of choice. Please note: no alcohol may be brought into the event.

• Location: The American Legion
• Doors open at 6:00 PM
• Dinner begins at 6:30 PM
• Trivia starts at 7:00 PM

• $40 per person
• Teams may have up to 8 players
• A discounted rate of $35/person is available for full teams of eight
• Team captains should register once on behalf of their entire team
• Participants may register individually or in teams of 2, 4, 6, or 8
• Individuals and smaller teams will be paired as needed

Tonight Mrs. Steelman and Dr. Minear attended the University of Missouri - Human Development and Family Science Field Fair to recruit up and coming education majors to spend some hours at AHL this semester. It was a great turn out! We are looking forward to having some new faces in the building. Maybe one day they will be teaching our !
