Times sure are hard right now as we all figure out our new rhythms at home. For the young child, it is so important to stick to a routine and keep a sense of normalcy, now more than ever. As Big Muddy is currently closed, we are trying out our new program, Montessori at Home. This consists of daily emails with Montessori inspired activities, advice for parents coping with new daily struggles, kid friendly recipes from the lovely Chef Gaby and daily videos of songs and stories that the children love in the classroom! If your family is interested in receiving these emails, we are happy to share! For just $50 a week, you can join the Big Muddy family and help support our small business in these difficult times! For more information, please contact Tara Genevieve Vonder Haar at [email protected]!

🥣✨Our new oatmeal station was a hit this week! The children love being able to prepare their own snack and they are better nourished because of it! Thank you Chef Gaby for sending the goodies! ✨🥣

☀️☀️☀️It’s that time of year where all our hard work really pays off! We can’t wait for spring, but in the mean time we’re getting really good at wiping our noses and staying focused on our challenging work! We can’t wait to see what these bright young children will teach us in the coming months. Only 20 more days until SPRING!☀️☀️☀️ @ Big Muddy Montessori

❄️🌲🌎We had the best pajama party ever today! We started off baking our Christmas cookies, played with our dreidel while we waited for them to bake, made popcorn with the air popper and then watched a beautiful nature documentary about our little blue planet! Happy Holidays to everyone! See you next year! 🌎🌲❄️

✨🌎The world could definitely use more kindness! Love this concept, especially this time of year!🌎✨
An Irish school is ditching homework for a month, assigning 'acts of kindness' instead
"Our message to the children is very simple: they can be the reason somebody smiles today and they can definitely help make this world a better place for others and for themselves."
