44 of our amazing undergraduate researchers traveled to Chicago for the annual Midwestern Psychological Association (MPA) meetings to present their work. Two of our students, Nya Dodd & Andrew Grassi also earned Psi Chi Midwestern Region Research Awards!! Special thanks to Drs. Dennis Miller & Carrie Ellis-Kalton for helping our students on this trip. Our undergraduates are doing amazing things!! Congratulations, Charles!!

The German Academic Excellence Service (DAAD) Master Studies for All Academic Disciplines scholarship program provides funding for students to pursue postgraduate or master’s degrees at universities across Germany. For senior Charles Wigton, the award is going to allow him to be a step closer to his goal of earning a PhD in clinical psychology.

“It was extremely exciting to receive the DAAD scholarship!” said Wigton, a psychological sciences major who is also pursuing the Honors College Certificate. “I spent a lot of time and effort working with the amazing staff in the Mizzou Office of Global and National Fellowships, including Erik Potter and Nina Wilson-Keenan, to produce a competitive application for this award.”

The DAAD Master Studies for All Academic Disciplines scholarship program is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. Within the master’s program that Wigton will be part of is an internship that includes more than 300 hours of field work. He said that work will focus on psychoanalysis, something not as commonly studied in the United States.

Join us on October 17, 2025, to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the Department of Psychological Sciences at Mizzou, in partnership with the Budds Center for American Music Studies.

A free public lecture will be given by Christopher D. Green, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at York University in Toronto, on "Max Meyer's Audacious 29-Note Musical Scale".

Psychonomic Society Early Career Award - Psychonomic Society Recipients will receive an award during the Awards Ceremony & Business Meeting at the 2025 Annual Meeting,held from November 20-23 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel.

An exceptional day of celebrations! 17 Ph.D. students were hooded and 48 honors & independent research capstone students were awarded. Wishing all of our graduates the best in their future endeavors! Please keep in touch!!
