Seven CIS students qualified for last weekend’s Class 1 state track championship, and six earned medals for their outstanding performances! Congratulations to Syrena Sadler, finishing 5th in the triple jump; Effie Craver, finishing 6th in the 3,200 meters (setting a school record of 12:30.39); and the 4x200 relay team of Deolu Adibiyi, Pablo Bran, Raphael Eboreime and Mustapha Salau, finishing 8th with a school record 1:32.86.

'Valise' snags Columbia's spelling star in the semifinals; she's OK with that "I did what I came here to do," Columbia's Ananya Aggarwal said after Scripps National Spelling Bee run.

CIS 8th Grader Ananya Aggarwal will compete in the beginning tomorrow! She is speller #124. Preliminary rounds begin Tuesday, quarterfinal and semifinal rounds are on Wednesday, and the finals are on Thursday evening.
