Earlier this year, the SC Legislature passed laws to allow handgun carry without a permit. Included in that bill was a proviso that SLED would provide FREE CWP classes in each county.

We are honored that SLED has selected us as one of the Kershaw County instructors. We have updated our events with the classes we will be teaching, but there are some changes. Besides the no charge class, SLED will be handling the registrations. Go to https://www.sled.sc.gov/cwp_courses select the County you wish to take your class in (hopefully, you'll select Kershaw County) and the class you are interested in (hopefully, you'll select one with "Ed Hines" as the instructor), then scroll down to register and fill in the information.

Driving up I-77 through Mecklenburg County and I sorta noticed several simple billboards, but didn't read them.. until the fifth one.

See the billboards were four blue stars and the wording at the bottom was "we remember our heros". Brought a tear to my eyes.

Thank you to whoever put up the billboards, I think there were six, very classy.

Gauging interest in the defensive pistol class.

Sort of an advanced CWP...lots of rounds fired. Learn to improve your marksmanship and safe pistol handling, shooting and moving, shooting from cover, reloading and other skills.

This is a high round count course.
