The power and importance of writing is showing up in the business sector.
DTI and NILD have long sounded the cry for why penmanship is critical to a healthy brain. This foundational concept informs our Rhythmic Writing technique and why we encourage students and parents to practice it multiple times a week.
Writing - as opposed to typing - slows thinking down in order that more brain power can be leveraged for learning, remembering, and understanding.

Change the life of a struggling learner for whom tutoring just isn’t enough!
Discovery Therapies, Inc. is looking for someone interested in training to become an educational therapist. We have part-time and full-time openings.
Our ideal candidate is someone with some educational background whether a former classroom teacher, homeschool parent, or substitute teacher. A formal education degree, while beneficial, is not necessary for this position. Qualification for the job comes through hands on training.
Training to become an educational therapist would require completing the NILD Level 1 course. This course consists of four weeks of online classroom instruction followed by one week of residency training. By joining DTI, you would be completing the training in the midst of an established program and experienced therapists.
Duties after training would include:
- Meeting with students twice a week and administering their therapy plan, staying faithful to the NILD techniques
- Charting student progress
- Completing necessary reports (initial, quarterly/semester, and annual)
- Attending monthly staff meetings
Interested parties should send their resume to [email protected]
