About us…
The Club is dedicated to serving the needs of all Columbia ECPI military affiliated students, be they Active Duty, Veterans, Reserve, National Guard, or immediate family members (spouse or children).
Our Mission…
Our group offers a support channel and a centralized forum containing a variety of resources geared towards the unique needs of our Student Veterans (SV) to be successful in achieving a higher education and beyond.
This is made possible by our organization being governed and operated by current SVs, who’ve joined together during this chapter of their transition from service to share resources and rebuild camaraderie with one another along with several Chapter Faculty Advisors overseeing the Clubs’ actions.

Membership Requirements
To be a member of the Veterans Club, one must be enrolled as a student with ECPI of this campus. There are no fees or dues required, all that is asked of our members is the following:
1) Once you are registered as a Student here at ECPI of Columbia, SC and have obtained valid ECPI email address, we ask that you fill out (legibly) the “Membership Registration” form located in the intake packet and turn it in either at the front office or one of the Chapter Faculty Advisors (see Current Officers and Staff below).
2) Next join the “ECPI (Columbia, SC) Veterans Club - Members Only” group to have full access to all the unique listings and resources available to our SV Members. It will expose one to a lot of important and useful information while one is at the University and even after they graduate.
3) Remember to use the University’s Outlook Email service and NOT the University’s CANVAS Email service. The former will allow you to receive, read and send emails to anyone within ECPI, while the later will only function for a specific class that you are in.
4) And finally we ask that you please respond to all emails received by the Club Officers and Advisors, even if it is to let us know that you’re not interested or available. This will assist us in ensuring that you are in our mass mailing list and are receiving the newsletter and other pertinent information sent out.
Our Affiliation
Our Club is affiliated with the “Student Veterans of America” (SVA), which was formed in January 2008 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. It was founded by several young veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts that had traded their uniforms and rifles for backpacks and notebooks. They found the resources available on campus were severely inadequate, and realized the problem was systemic throughout. They provide their affiliates with a wide range of additional resources and abilities. And they are a unifying voice for veterans in higher education on the state and national level
