Join me at the annual Missouri Organic Association in February. Great conference on regenerative and sustainable agriculture!

🌟 Speaker Highlight: Glenda DeShon 🌻

What happens when you open your farm gates to the community?
For Glenda and Jeff DeShon, it became a way to share their fourth-generation Boone County farm — and create meaningful experiences that connect people to agriculture.

From U-pick flowers and pumpkins to Goat Yoga, hayrides, and wreath-making workshops, Four Oaks Farm has become a year-round agritourism destination filled with fun, family, and learning.

In this session, Grace Ames sits down with Glenda to talk about how they made it work — from diversifying income to building community through creativity.

RESEARCH ARTICLE
Efficacy of feeding cow colostrum to newborn lambs

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/257701049_Efficacy_of_feeding_cow_colostrum_to_newborn_lambs

Conclusion
There are indications for good passive immunity when cow colostrum was used in newborn lambs. Cow colostrum could be a good replacer of ewe colostrum as concerning passive immunity in cases where ewe colostrum cannot be used. Four meals of cow colostrum in the first 18 h are sufficient to provide passive immunity, no matter if cow colostrum was collected at 1st or 2nd milking.
