Welcome to Sandhills, Mr. Hyle! 💜🦌

Mr. Hyle comes to Sandhills with experience in the high school classroom and a unique background in outdoor and experiential education. A graduate of Elon University, he studied Adventure, Health, and Physical Education along with Philosophy and Environmental Education. His experience also includes recreation and nature education, creating opportunities that get students learning, exploring, and working together.

Mr. Hyle was drawn to Sandhills by our intentional approach to education and focus on helping students build confidence and find success. His ability to build meaningful relationships with students and create engaging learning experiences makes him a great addition to our community.

Outside of the classroom, Mr. Hyle is a huge Liverpool F.C. fan ⚽ and enjoys writing in his free time. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll see one of his sci-fi books on the shelves! 📚

Five years ago today, we cut the ribbon on The Boyd Foundation Building! ✂️🎉

While Mrs. Susan is no longer with us, her legacy lives on every day through the students who walk its halls and the teachers whose expertise fills its classrooms.

The teachers are back, and so is the energy! 💜

We’ve spent the last two days learning, laughing, collaborating, and preparing for another amazing year at Sandhills. From professional learning and team activities to classroom planning and big ideas for the year ahead, our faculty has been hard at work getting ready for our students.

The school year is almost here, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to campus! 🦌
