Inspired by her great-grandmother's journey with Alzheimer’s, Honors and art education senior Stella Tew teamed up with neuroscience student Ansley Martin to launch Vibrant Minds — a beautiful student-driven expressive arts program through USC Brain Health that brings joy, connection and creativity to older adults living with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other neurological conditions. Last month students in the Honors Museum Advocacy course traveled to Washington, D.C. for Museum Advocacy Day with the American Alliance of Museums. Alongside the course instructor Dr. Allison Marsh, they met with members of Congress to reaffirm the essential value and contributions of museums in South Carolina and beyond.
