It’s not IF, but WHEN there is conflict and disagreement, our coaches help our young leaders build the skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives.

Most of the time it’s a simple misunderstanding or miscommunication and we guide them through the process.

🤗 Repair and reconnect

They are young leaders, not because, “everybody gets to be a leader”, but because everybody must lead themselves first.

A supportive coach to guide them through emotional situations helps build confidence by gaining skills and mutual respect in relationships.

🏞️ We prioritize and protect time for our young leaders to be outside in nature on this great farm.

😊 Knowing they have this time each day to run, play and create, reduces stress, increases dopamine and builds connection in their relationships.

It’s not either or, but applying through real world experience is 💯

Telling stories about the 🐸, 🦞 and 🐟

Calculating how many they found and how many are in the creek based on length and area they searched.

🛡️ Building culture and name your code

🤔 What is a warrior? One physically strong? One who thinks critically? Are they mutually exclusive?

🧐 What makes a good team, good teammates, good friends? Challenging or always easy? Critical or encouraging? Loyal or wishy washy?

Some of the questions our young leaders have been wrestling with for what they prefer for a team, a group, friends and to start understanding their code.

If you know information, but don’t know yourself or your values to filter the information, that’s a big problem.

No right answers as we coach them socratically to dive deeper and understand what they believe and why.

A few snippets from our first week at Mary's Land Farm 🐝

Body 😅 - Mind 🧠 - Heart ❤️

☀️ We start the day outside moving our bodies through exercise, play and challenges.

🐢 We found a baby turtle, named “Shy Guy”, who became mascot for a day.

😁 moving the body helps blood flow, creativity, focus and opens up the mind for academic work

❤️ We share stories to make projects come to life and connect us in our shared space as a team.

We are studying the Bushido Code and reading Way of the Warrior Kid to decide on values for campus and that our young leaders will adopt for their Personal Code.

And yes, every day ends with responsibilities like studio reset, taking out the trash and bathroom cleanup.
