Founded March 25, 1948, the Association has grown in its influence, while maintaining its core principles of education and safety. The Association's primary purpose is to maintain high standards of practice within the industry, and in so doing, protect and expand the ability of its members to compete in the marketplace.

Last week the SCPGA Suppliers, by a vote of 34-0, agreed to establish the Suppliers of the SCPGA Disaster Relief Fund. $5,000 from the Supplier Fund will be moved to the Disaster Relief Fund.
The SCPGA Board of Directors met Friday and agreed to administer the Disaster Relief Fund. The Board also approved the first donations to be made from the fund.
Tracy Gleason of Battle LP Gas in Nichols and Craig Sanderson of Battle Oil Company in Nichols both had their homes flooded from the rising rivers due to Hurricane Matthew and lost all their personal possessions. Donations of $1,000 each were made to Tracy and Craig. Executive Director Corky Clark met with them Friday afternoon at the Nichols Town Hall to present the checks.
