Hello all, welcome to Self Care Sunday! We invite you to join our series through an open discussion about common misconceptions about self care. *put a space below please :)* Why Self Care Sunday? *spaces below* Every 2 years, UofSC conducts a National College Health Assessment. In the spring of 2019, the top four factors that affected a student’s academic success within the last 12 months were: stress, anxiety, sleep difficulties, and depression. Our hopes as peer leaders are to address these areas every Sunday by highlighting the benefits of self care and sharing sustainable ways to implement it in students’ daily lives. *Disclaimer* All posts are suggestions from the personal experience and research of the Mental Health SPIG. We recognize that self care looks different for everyone, but we welcome all to view these posts with an open mind and to join us as a group of students working towards developing and maintaining our own mental wellness through self care.
