That’s a wrap for iCOM! It has been a wonderful year of useful professional development meeting, games, networking trips, and, overall, becoming a super close knit group. Thank you to everyone for participating in iCOM in the 2024-2025 school year; you are what make iCOM iCOM. A huge congratulations to all our seniors as well who are taking new steps out in the world. You will do great!

That being said, this is my (Jordyn lol) last post as PR Chair of iCOM. I’ve been a part of iCOM for four years and have held this exec position for three years. This org has truly been ingrained into my college experience, and I’m so happy I got to share these wonderful past few years with you all in person and online. I’m now passing the torch on! Thank you all!!

Congratulations to the wonderful iCOM executive board and general body members who were awarded at the 2025 Department of Communication Undergraduate Awards Ceremony this evening. We are so proud of you and your achievements!!

We are holding a Communication Alumni Panel of recent Comm Department grads Anna Clark, Elleyna Rudman, and Aarani Sarveswaran over Zoom this Monday, April 14th at 5pm. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the job hunting process for after graduation and the ins and outs of their specific fields. Now, let’s meet out panelists:

Anna Clark graduated Mizzou last May with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication, a minor in Spanish, and certificates in Human Resource Management and Multicultural Studies. During her time at Mizzou, she was involved in iCOM, LPH, the MUSHRM chapter, and Spanish Club. Currently, she serve as a People Services Advisor at Cushman & Wakefield.

Elleyna Rudman graduated from Mizzou last May with degrees in Communication and Economics and a minor in business. While in school, she was an Undergraduate Research Assistant with the Media & Diversity Center and a student writer for Trulaske. She is now based in Charlotte, North Carolina and works as a social media intern for the Carolina Panthers.

Lastly, Aarani Sarveswaran graduated from Mizzou in 2024 with a BA in Communication. She currently works as a Project Coordinator at JMO Communications, based in Columbia, MO. In her role, she supports projects for a range of clients, including government agencies and social impact organizations. She is passionate about helping clients manage their reputation and elevate their brand through effective external communications.

iCOM will be hosting an Alumni Panel on Monday, April 14th at 5pm to kick off Comm Week. Network with and ask question to a variety of Comm alumnus working in HR, content, creation and much more! This event will be held over Zoom, so keep your eye on the newsletter and the Instagram page for the link to join!

Part two of our epic networking trip!! 😎

This week 7 iCOM members embarked on our annual networking trip to Chicago! We had an amazing time exploring the city, visiting museums, and meeting with companies. Best of all, we met with professionals at Heron Agency, FCB Chicago, and Caliber Corporate Advisers. This was a wonderful experience to learn more about possible careers after graduation. Thank you to all the companies that welcomed us, we truly appreciate it!

Crafting a strong resume is an essential skill in our industry, and we truly appreciate your eagerness to learn and willingness to share your insights.
