Our next Mentor of the Week is Kristina Boyle!

Hello Class of 2021, welcome to Carolina! My name is Kristina Boyle and I’m a junior this year (wishing I wasn’t half way done with college). I am from South Riding, Virginia and fell in love with USC the moment I stepped on campus. I am a double major in Risk Management & Insurance and Finance. I am also doing pre-law and plan to attend law school after USC! I have had the best time at South Carolina and I cannot wait to meet y’all to help you find your home here. My favorite memories so far have come from the organizations that I am a part of. I could not imagine my life here without my sorority sisters or my Dance Marathon family. Outside of school and organizations, you can find me at Carolina Café (best Sunday breakfast around), the back porch of my sorority house, or anywhere that has dogs. I can’t wait to meet y’all and help you call USC home!

Hey guys! Meet our next Mentor of the Week - Shane!

My name is Shane Bello and I am a rising Junior Public Health B.A. major from Lexington, SC. I have always had a passion for helping people, so naturally I pursued a career in medicine. This all changed after I became involved in various peer leadership opportunities. My journey here at USC has led me to getting involved in Hall Government, New Student Orientation, various positions in Student Government, Peer Leadership in the Student Success Center, and becoming a U101 Peer Leader. And basically the time in between is filled with copious Netflix shows and movies. My favorite show is a tie between Prison Break and Breaking Bad, seeing as I watched them both series twice. And I would rather have Moe's over Chipotle, like why should I have to pay for chips and salsa.

I love hiking, kayaking, and just chilling outdoors. My favorite things are Christmas music, my dog and cows!

Hello! I’m Betty Lavandero and I’m a senior Public Relations major at USC. I am a member of the Delta Zeta sorority, a University 101 Senior Peer Leader and I serve as the Director of Public Relations Content for USC Dance Marathon. I am from Goose Creek, SC and love to spend my summers on the beach in Charleston. After graduation, I hope to acquire a job in the field of communications and social media management. In my spare time, whenever I have it, I like Netflix marathons, scrolling through Instagram, eating around Columbia, online shopping, and reading. I cannot wait to meet all the incoming freshmen and share my love of USC and the amazing experiences I have had with a future mentee.
