Looking for a summer experience that combines creativity, confidence, and fun?

The MWP Summer Writing Camp invites students entering 2nd–12th grade to spend a week exploring the power of writing through stories, poetry, games, music, art, and collaboration.

Campers will:
• Participate in daily writing workshops
• Read and respond to engaging literature
• Write in multiple genres
• Explore the University of Missouri campus
• Enjoy music, games, snacks, and creative activities
• Connect with fellow young writers
• Celebrate their writing on the final day

Whether your child already loves writing or is just beginning to discover their voice, this camp provides an encouraging environment where creativity and confidence can grow.

📚 For students entering grades 2–12
💲 $200 per writer

This summer, give your child the chance to explore creativity, storytelling, and self-expression at the MWP Summer Writing Camp! 🌟

📚 Writers entering grades 2–12 will enjoy:
🎵 Music & games
🎨 Arts & creativity

📝 Daily writing workshops
🎓 Exploring how writing connects to careers & content areas

Campers will work with other writers their age, discover new genres, and explore the MU campus while building confidence in their writing skills.

The Walt Disney Hometown Museum and the Missouri Writing Project invite K–12 educators from all grade levels and content areas to apply for the 2026 Here & Now! Place-Based Summer Workshop. This immersive experience explores how place-based learning strengthens disciplinary literacy, builds community and collaboration, and engages students through authentic, local experiences. Designed especially for school teams (2–4 teachers), but individual educators are welcome.
