GOALS Academy Kids is seeking a professional in the field of early childhood education who is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate program in accordance to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
The child care center is located in southeast columbia with a capacity of 40 children. The right candidate will assist and support the Director in all aspects of management of the Academy including human resources, marketing, customer relations, accounts receivable, quality control and facility management.
Job requirements include:
CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Minimum of two years of experience as a lead teacher in a large nationally recognized child care center.
Willingness to assist the Director and mentor teachers promoting an effective and supportive leadership team.
Excellent leadership, organizational, supervisory and communication skills
Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in English
Familiarity with and willingness to closely adhere to and enforce federal and state child care licensing standards.
Willingness to serve in various roles as needed, including teacher, cook, and school bus driver. A clean driving record is a must for this role.
Ability to manage conflict in the workplace, effectively and professionally.
Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Ability to multi-task and to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to maintain positive and proactive relationships with parents and staff
Basic computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)
Ability and willingness to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors and outdoors.
Possess a true desire to work with children and their families
Possess an outgoing and friendly personality conducive to a positive work environment
Candidate MUST reside within a 40 minute commuting distance from the school during rush hour traffic.
