🎓💜🩵 One Program. One Community. One Purpose. UNITY. 🩵💜🎓
We officially kicked off our 2026–2027 SLP Program this week, and today our day and online students came together for our SLP Orientation Luncheon!
This year’s theme is UNITY, and today was all about building connections and reminding our students that no matter how they attend classes, they are part of ONE SLP community.
Students worked together in teams to:
✨ Create a team name
🤫 Complete challenges using nonverbal communication
🤝 Discover commonalities with one another
🎬 Create a commercial/PSA about Speech-Language Pathology
📣 Develop a team cheer to encourage and support one another
There was plenty of laughter, creativity, communication, and teamwork—all skills that will serve them well as future SLPs and SLPAs!
As we begin this academic year, we hope our students remember that while each person brings different strengths, experiences, and perspectives, we are stronger when we work together.

Participants can join in person or virtually as we come together to run, walk, and raise funds for the Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Memorial Scholarship, providing financial support to underrepresented minority students pursuing degrees in speech-language pathology in South Carolina.

We had an amazing second week of Koala Camp! We reviewed signs from Week 1 and learned color signs plus "hurt" and "where?" on Tuesday. We learned clothing and transportation signs on Thursday. We loved reading and signing Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Pete The Cat!
