USC Aiken graduate with Down syndrome starts career at Lexington therapy center Ava Shahbahrami recently graduated from USC Aiken and is starting her career at a pediatric speech and occupational therapy center.

We had an amazing second week of Koala Camp! We reviewed signs from Week 1 and learned color signs plus "hurt" and "where?" on Tuesday. We learned clothing and transportation signs on Thursday. We loved reading and signing Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Pete The Cat!

Koala Camp 2026 – Day 2 Photos! 📸

Today we reviewed food, drink, and family signs, and learned animal signs and the manual alphabet. We are having so much fun with our campers and their parents! Our CC SLP students are also learning so much through this wonderful experiential learning opportunity.
