Waterloo Elementary School PTA

We are sending major congratulations to both of our Prekindergarten classes! After 18 months of hard work, documentation, and planning, they achieved Maryland state accreditation!

Congratulations to Mrs. Huff, Mrs. Bitzel, and Mrs. Nussbaum on their upcoming retirement from HCPSS! Each of them has made a significant impact on Waterloo’s art and library/media programs! We wish them the best on their next phase of their journey!

WE LOVE OUR STAFF!

Today some of our Wildcats drew and wrote notes to our staff for one final show of appreciation! The kids were so excited but we weren’t able to hit all the grade levels. But there’s still time for you or you kiddo to send in a note!

Notes can be directed at staff in general, or addressed to a specific staff member. Please don’t forget related arts teachers, paraeducators, admin, custodial staff, nurses, aides, etc! All notes should be returned to school with your student by Friday in a marked envelope.

The notes will be used to decorate for our final Staff Appreciation Lunch on Monday.

Join us for our next PTA restaurant event "Scoop Night" at The Charmery! They will donate a portion of all their sales on June 11th when you present the flyer or mention Waterloo in the online checkout notes.

We had a great time celebrating during our school-wide Q4 PBIS Tattoo a Teacher Incentive! Students worked very hard to show their B.E.S.T. effort and earn tickets. They later used their tickets to decide which staff members they wanted to wear tattoos and how many! On Monday, our teachers and staff came to school with a brand new look! It was a fun time for everyone!

On Saturday, our Girls on the Run team did an outstanding job on their 5K race! They have been training all Spring, and their hard work paid off! Thank you to our family volunteers and coaches for another wonderful season! Congratulations!
