In 2027, Tyrrell County 4-H’ers will have two options for Traditional Overnight 4-H Camp! Please review the options below and select the camp that best fits your family’s schedule and needs.

Option 1: Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Educational Center
Dates: June 27–July 2, 2027
Location: Reidsville, NC

Option 2: Eastern 4-H Center
Dates: July 25–30, 2027
Location: Columbia, NC
Registration: https://eastern2027.4honline.com

We’re also excited to offer an incentive program for 2027! Please see the graphic below for details.

To secure your camper’s spot, a non-refundable deposit must be submitted to the Tyrrell County Extension Center by November 4, 2026.

Congratulations to all of our 4-H’ers who participated in the Youth Market Turkey Show! We are especially proud of our three members who showed turkeys for the very first time this year. Our group had a great showing, earning two second-place finishes, a sixth-place finish, and an eighth-place finish!

Brantley’s second-place turkey came from the same class as the Grand Champion Jr. Market Turkey, while Evie’s second-place turkey came from the same class as the Grand Champion Sr. Market Turkey, which went on to be named Grand Champion Overall! What an accomplishment for our members to compete alongside such outstanding turkeys!

We are so proud of all our 4-H’ers for their hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout this project. A big thank-you to the families and supporters who helped our members succeed. Congratulations to everyone on a job well done!

🌟 Spotlighting the Heart of Tyrrell County 4-H! 🌟

The strength of the Tyrrell County 4-H program comes from the many youth and volunteers who give their time, talents, and energy to make a difference.

From youth who step up, try new things, serve their community, and encourage one another, to volunteers who share their knowledge, provide guidance, and create opportunities for growth — each person plays an important part in making 4-H what it is today.

Together, they are building confidence, developing leadership skills, strengthening our community, and helping young people discover just how much they are capable of accomplishing.

We are proud to celebrate all of the youth and volunteers who contribute to Tyrrell County 4-H. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and willingness to make a difference do not go unnoticed.

It truly takes a community — and we are grateful for ours!

The Crafty Clovers kicked off their first club meeting last night with a fun and creative paint project! Our youngest 4-H members had a great time getting creative, learning something new, and making their own colorful masterpieces.

It was a wonderful evening filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of creativity! We can’t wait to see what these little Clovers learn and create next!

Congratulations to Ethan, Luke, Chesson, and Jaxon on making it to the NC 4-H State Shooting Sports Competition!

These young men earned their place at States through hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice. We are so proud of each of you and all the hard work, commitment, and determination you’ve put in to get here.

Keep working hard, keep learning, and most importantly, keep enjoying the journey!
