‘Twas a fantastic first day of the school year at City Garden! From the Rose Ceremony welcoming first grade students to the grades program to main lesson, recess, Spanish, handwork, and more, students reported the day was great, awesome, and amazing!

What a wonderful evening was had at City Garden School last evening. New and returning parents attended Orientation Night and it was a full house! Bring on the 2026-27 school year- we are ready!

In addition to polishing up our existing classroom spaces, Ms. Jody and Ms. Whitney have been hard at work preparing our new Kindergarten I classroom and it is looking beautiful. We can’t wait to welcome our first pre-kindergarten aged class in a couple of weeks.

There’s a lot “growing on” at City Garden School this week in preparation of opening day! Parents and teachers have been hard at work getting our campus and classrooms first day ready. We can’t wait for students and families to join us for what is sure to be an amazing year of learning and growing together!

Our 3rd Annual Rummage Sale is happening this Saturday, August 1. We are accepting donations tomorrow and Friday and look forward to a beautiful, much cooler day for the sale on Saturday!

In an era where technology can be found at every turn, City Garden School embraces a no tech/slow tech approach in our classrooms. Our classrooms are completely screen free until sixth grade, when an intentional 'slow-tech' approach is used. Our middle school students gain technology know how under the guidance of our highly-skilled faculty and our Cyber Civics curriculum. Exposure to nature is the norm at City Garden School! Each Friday (and everyday for three weeks in the fall and three weeks in the spring), our school holds classes at Camp Takimina, a 30+ acre private campground which provides incredible opportunities for authentic place-based education, habitat explorations, and time in the great out doors.
