Mr. Yarnall said it best last night- "Class of 2026, as you begin this next chapter, hold fast to your convictions. Let your choices reflect your faith. Let your promises be kept with integrity. And let your character shine even when no one is watching.

You are ready. You have everything you need. You have learned, prayed, laughed, served, and grown within a community that believes in you. Now, step forward with confidence. Journey in hope. Walk in faith. Trust that God goes before you, walks beside you, and remains within you.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Go forth and make a difference in your community and in the world. And remember—once a Saint, always a Saint."

And as we bring the 2025-2026 school year to a close, it is a bittersweet moment that our sixth graders take to the hallways one last time. Whether one year or eight, the friendships and memories made in these hallways will last a lifetime. We hope you will carry a little piece of us in your hearts as you venture out into the world, carrying the light of Christ with you as you go. We will miss you!

A lawyer, a pilot, and an engineer walk into a classroom...

Sounds like Career Day at Saint Joseph Catholic School!  Students in 3rd-6th grade heard from all different professions today, including a lawyer, an Air Force pilot, a Marketing and Communications guru at Cardinal Newman, the COO and a trauma surgeon from Prisma Health, a Professional Engineer (who helped design the Sphere in Las Vegas!!!), the CEO of Palmetto Agribusiness Council, the Director of Development at St. Thomas More, and a Nutritionist.

Today at Career Day, our students discovered that a career is more than a job — it can be a vocation. ✨

From healthcare and education to business, trades, ministry, and public service, our guest speakers shared how God calls each of us to use our gifts in service to others. At our Catholic school, we believe every profession can become a path to holiness, leadership, and purpose.

Thank you to all of the professionals who inspired our students to dream boldly, work faithfully, and live out their God-given calling. 🙏

“Whatever you do, do from the heart, as for the Lord.” — Colossians 3:23

In case you missed it at the top, circulation increased by almost 50% compared to past years! That is huge! Thank you for supporting reading in the classroom and at home!  Thanks to great programs like Birthday Books,  the support of some dedicated parents on Friday afternoons, the fabulous Mrs. Shaffer, and, of course, our beautiful mural, our school library is looking better than ever!  The love of reading is alive and well at St Joes!
