The soap making team is handing off the reins to the next semester group. They had a lot of fun and ended with two really good products!!!
University of South Carolina's Student-Run Biodiesel Initiative While currently in its infancy stages, GBF seeks to become a role model for other Universities.
It hopes to become USC’s primary supplier of cleaner-burning fuel. Furthermore, we seek to create a fully sustainable process. The glycerin byproduct will be used to make soap. In addition, all profits are re-invested in the program and the University’s Student Sustainability Fund.

Just made batches 7 & 8 using methanol-free glycerin provided by Clemson Sustainable Biofuels
Soap batch 4 was made Tuesday with red iron oxide colorant to get that garnet we all know!
