Children's Manor Montessori School - Columbia

Children's Manor Montessori proudly provides Howard County parents with quality care and education.

Our Columbia campus consists of seven classrooms, an indoor play area, and a outdoor playground. Established in 2001, this center is tucked charmingly back in a little industrial park off of Red Branch Road and is an ideal travel convenience to Routes 108, 100, 29, and 40. All seven classrooms feature quality Montessori materials and certified staff with an inspiring environment.

In Montessori, the Hundred Board is an activity in the Math area of the classroom. It is a board with 100 squares with a number printed on each square. The children place the number squares in order. This teaches the children the Base 10 system, number recognition, rote counting, number sequencing, memory skills, patterns, etc.
