Look at this vintage MATLAB logo! In the late 1970s, the first version of MATLAB emerged. At the time, the only data type was "matrix". MATLAB only had 80 functions with primitive graphics. Since the founding of Mathworks in 1984, MATLAB has been used by millions of engineers, mathematicians, and people from other industries to develop algorithms, analyze data, and create models. And to think, it all started with a matrix!
