Welcome, Bree Downs!
Adair County Schools is excited to announce the hiring of Bree Downs as the new MSD Teacher at Adair County Middle School!
We are thrilled to welcome Bree to the Adair County Schools family and look forward to the positive impact she will make with our students, staff, and school community.
Here is a message from Bree:
Hello everyone! My name is Bree Downs. I am from Columbia and graduated from Adair County High School in 2021. I earned my Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies, with an emphasis in English, History, and education, from Lindsey Wilson University in 2025. Currently, I am pursuing a Special Education (MSD) degree through Morehead State University's Masters of Arts in Teaching program.
I am very passionate about making a positive impact in students' lives, and I cannot wait to begin my journey with Adair County Middle School! I am excited to meet and collaborate with all of our students, families, and staff.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, friends, and pets, as well as reading and thrifting. I have two dogs and a cat, and they are my whole world! I absolutely love sharing stories and pictures of them.
I'm looking forward to this school year and cannot wait to meet everyone!

LOOK AT ALL THOSE HAPPY FACES!

The ACMS staff is geared up and getting ready for an incredible 2026–2027 school year! We’ve been busy preparing our brand-new school, getting classrooms ready, and making plans for a great year—but there’s still one VERY important thing missing… OUR STUDENTS!

We CAN’T WAIT until August 24th when these stairs and hallways are filled with our students and all of their smiling faces!

Enjoy those last few days of summer, ACMS students… your ACMS family is ready for you!

With the recent changes to the school calendar, we want to hold our Open House as close to the start of school as possible so we can keep the excitement of our brand-new middle school going!

Here it is. We hope to see everyone out this season. Scrimmage 1 is Monday. The kids are ready to get to work against another team and show their progress. It will be at the middle school field.
