Advocacy Appointments for the 2023-24 School Year will be on WEDNESDAYS ONLY from 1:00-4:00 pm. I will only be doing consults and not attending meetings. I'm shifting gears for 23-24 and everyone needs to start planning ahead. Thanks!

I was told he could never go on field trips because of his behaviors. Now, he has calming strategies to address his sensory needs instead of being restrained.
This is why MoDE is so important.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Safer Seclusion & Restraint Law.

The most beautiful thing you can wear is confidence!
We were so excited to see MoDE advocate Izzi shining in this photo on Facebook over the weekend and had to ask her mom for permission to share.
Image: Diverse group of women representing a variety of ages, ethnicities, and abilities posing together all wearing jeans and white shirts. Izzi is the young lady on the far left sitting in her wheelchair.

SIL is sad to share that the catalytic converters were stolen off of our vehicles overnight, necessitating thousands of dollars in repairs. One of the most critical services SIL offers is convenient transportation for those who need it to get to their dialysis appointments, the grocery store, or the food pantry. We have 6 transport vehicles and employ 7 drivers who transport 240 people per week on average. SIL relies on donors and grant money to fund our transportation program in order to keep costs low for the people we serve, and veterans and their spouses always ride free. We are asking for your help to get our vehicles repaired quickly without limiting the services we offer to those in need of reliable transportation.
