🌳 4-H Forestry Field Day

Join us September 8 at the Green River Lake Visitor Center for a hands-on day of learning about tree identification, tree measurement, compass use, and pacing.

Youth ages 9–18 are eligible to participate. Lunch will be provided, and sturdy shoes are recommended.

Job Title: Temporary Part-Time Extension Custodian – Adair County
Location: Columbia, KY
As an Extension Custodian, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance, cleanliness, and other basic custodial aspects of the Extension Office.
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:
• cleaning, stocking, and maintaining bathrooms and kitchen areas
• vacuuming and dusting entire office area
• emptying trash and recyclables
• maintaining and cleaning outdoor areas
Physical Requirements: Ability to sweep, mop, vacuum, operate floor scrubber/buffer, and perform other cleaning duties. Ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to engage in regular/routine standing, walking, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing.
You will report to an Extension Agent and there will be some interaction with the public.
The position is 15 hours per week
Salary rate: $15.61/hour

📣 Ham Cleaning Day - August 18th! 🐖

We’ll be cleaning Country Hams tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Meeting Room B.

🧼 All participants are required to attend to clean hams in preparation for the State Fair. We don't want to take uncleaned hams to state fair!
🎟️ You’ll also be able to pick up your State Fair tickets during this time.
