🐺⚖️ Verdict: The Big Bad Wolf is guilty… of terroristic threats against Little Pig #2!

This summer's Science and the Law GoSciTech camp brought forensic science and the justice system together in a memorable mock trial, complete with witness testimony, scientific evidence, and a jury verdict.

Helping bring the courtroom to life were some dedicated Govies:

🔬 Charlotte Lomnicki '92, who has taught this course for an incredible 14 years

⚖️ Patrick Cleary '01, whose firm sponsored the program and who has presided as judge for the past three years

🗳️ Kori Rouse '25 and Eli Brown '26, who served on the jury that acquitted the Wolf of five charges, including felony murder, but found him guilty of making terroristic threats against Little Pig #2.

From the witness stand to the jury box, Govies from multiple generations came together to show campers how science and the law intersect in the real world. We're grateful for alumni who continue to invest their time and talents in the next generation of innovators and leaders!

Thirty years after their own GSSM graduation, Tapp and Legare Gresham '96 returned to campus to inspire the next generation of Govies as speakers for GSSM's 37th Commencement Ceremony.

Their message to the Class of 2026 reflected the values that have guided their remarkable careers in engineering and actuarial science: curiosity, resilience, lifelong learning, and a willingness to embrace new opportunities.
