In addition to heart health information, we’ll get our bodies moving with aerobics and line dancing, because an active heart is a healthy heart.

113 years ago today, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated secured a legacy of sisterhood, service, and impact that continues to endure 💗💚

On this day, we did more than step pretty.. We made a FIRST move that secured the legacy.

On January 29, 1913, led by the visionary and fearless Nellie M. Quander, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® became officially incorporated and protected. Sister Nellie’s leadership ensured that what our Founders built would not only last, but be preserved with intention, structure, and foresight.

This was legacy protection in real time. This was a woman seeing ahead, standing on business, and safeguarding the future of our sisterhood.

113 years later, we are still benefiting from that bold decision, built on Principle, Preservation, and Perpetuity.
