Backcountry Resistance was named a 2026 Great Read by SC State Library and The Post and Courier featured the selection and acquisitions editor, Ehren Foley, in the article! "Foley said the book gives readers a closer look at how the Revolutionary War affected South Carolina’s families and communities, rather than focusing only on its best-known military figures."

Charleston Museum director Carl Borick’s book, "Backcountry Resistance" is among two South Carolina books selected for the State Library's 2026 Great Reads from Great Places.
