‼️SBDM Minority Parent Member Special Election‼️

Because Adair County High School has a minority student population of eight percent or greater, and the SBDM Council does not currently have a minority member, there will be a special election to add a minority parent member to the council. (Teachers will add a minority member, too.)

Nomination forms are available by going to the link below or may be picked up at the ACHS Office. Please return nomination forms to ACHS Principal Chad Parnell by email ([email protected]) or in person at ACHS by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

The election will take place on Friday, August 14th, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at ACHS.

Nominees must be the parent of a current ACHS student. A parent is defined as anyone who is a parent, stepparent, foster parent and/or a person who has legal custody of a student. [KRS 160.345(1)(d)]

For the purposes of SBDM, minority is defined as American Indian; Alaskan native; African-American; Hispanic, including persons of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Central American or South American origins; Pacific Islander; or other ethnic group underrepresented in the school." [KRS 160.345(1)(a)]

Meet the Indians will be held Thursday at 6pm for Adair County Middle School Football and Adair County High School Football!! Come out and support for short intrasquads and introductions of our players before they get after their 2026 seasons!

⛳ Do you have a set of golf clubs collecting dust—or perhaps a driver, wood, or iron you no longer use?

ACHS is looking to expand the equipment available for the golf unit in our Freshman PE classes. Donations of individual clubs or complete sets would be greatly appreciated!
