Student Spotlight! 🌟

Mrs. Hampton & Ms. Chyna’s Kindergarten student Icelon Davis did an amazing job bringing learning to life her Museum Project! 🏛️🦖✨ She proudly shared her creative dinosaur museum with her classmates and showed off all the thoughtful details she included. We loved seeing her creativity, hard work, and confidence shine during her presentation! 💕📚

5th Grade Ecosystem Project

Ms. Blair’s 5th grade students have been learning all about ecosystems! Students have been exploring many different ecosystems and studying the organisms found in each one. Ms. Blair’s eagle scientists understand that healthy ecosystems must have balance between organisms and their competitors, as well as a good flow of energy between producers, consumers, and decomposers in a food chain/web!
Learning standard: L.5.3B- Students will demonstrate an understanding of a healthy ecosystem with a stable web of life and the roles of living things within a food chain and/or food web, including producers, primary and secondary consumers, and decomposers.
Students put their knowledge and imagination to the test by formulating their own unique ecosystems; including all the important elements for a stable web of life!

Today, our students and staff celebrated International Dot Day by wearing their favorite dots and diving into incredible art projects inspired by Peter H. Reynolds. “Just make a mark and see where it takes you eagles.

🦅 Shining Eagles on the Rise! 🦅
Big applause for these amazing Eagles who earned the top scores of the entire 4th grade on their weekly ELA quiz! 🌟
As a reward for their hard work, they had the unique opportunity to step into the role of assistant teacher and help our 1st graders practice addition and subtraction. Seeing our older students support our youngest learners with key math foundational skills is what building momentum is all about at East Marion Elementary!
