USC Upward Bound Summer Phase 26 Orientation Tomorrow May 30th 9:00AM at USC School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Orientation is Mandatory for all Summer Phase participants. Summer Packet must be turned in and completed. We look forward to seeing you all on tomorrow.

Congratulations to Columbia High School SC senior Omari Rolle on being awarded the 2026 Dr. John R. Stevenson Music Scholarship.

The $2,500 scholarship is named in honor of Richland One Superintendent Emeritus Dr. John R. Stevenson who served as the district’s superintendent from 1986 to 1994. Dr. Stevenson was inducted into the Richland One Hall of Fame in 2004. He passed away in 2019.

A talented cellist, Omari will further his studies at the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University. His goal is to be a music teacher and return to Richland One to help students develop their musical skills while promoting equal access to the arts in schools.
