August Orientation - New Student Orientation | University of South Carolina We offer one-day New Student Orientation sessions for fall freshmen and transfers who are unable to attend during the months of June and July.

New Student Orientation - Conference Center | University of South Carolina Calling Carolina Home, starts with your over night stay in Patterson Hall for New Student Orientation. Suite-style rooms allow you to meet other new Gamecocks while experiencing University Housing's most recently renovated building.

Please note we do not moderate or answers questions on the “other” class of 2027 page as it is run by a data mining business (Humans of University) and not actual parents. Any info there is use at your own risk.

Re: housing

Please note that we do NOT have any verified, additional information on housing processes (roommate, dorm, etc. ). All questions will need to be asked directly to housing, preferably by email (where staff answers) to get the most current and accurate info.
Housing is a lot of moving parts and can be confusing, with many small details making answers specific to specific student’s situations. Please be cautious assuming answers apply to others.
So much changes from year to year in this area. If we get any definite info directly from the department, we will share.
