It has been a joy to walk alongside you in this program and an honor to help you grow into the counselors you were called to become.

A student-led CPCE/NCE study group kicked off last Saturday and will meet every Saturday for 8 weeks.

Continuing our series in honor of Counseling Awareness Month, meet Camellia Bird, a first-year student with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Here’s Camellia’s “why” for becoming a counselor.

Congratulations to counseling graduate student, Desiree Hausam, and her faculty advisor, Dr. Andrea Fifield, for their recent poster presentation at the American Counseling Association national conference in Columbus, Ohio! Their presentation was titled "Exploring CrossFit as Adjunctive Intervention for Intimate Partner Violence". In addition to attending several educational sessions and connecting with other counseling professionals, Desiree and Dr. Fifield had the opportunity to meet luminaries in the counseling profession, including Dr. Gerald Corey and Dr. John Sommers-Flanagan! Well done!
