Adair County Beta is back on their way home and this sponsor is so proud of them. More pictures will be shared later, but heres a small preview. Huge thank you to Ashley Goodin and Lauren Cockerham for all their help. Serving as state sponsor elect is an absolutely wonderful adventure but it wouldn’t be possible without people from home to help chaperone and drive our betas while I perform my sponsor elect duties.

Tomorrow is the big day. We find out if our testers placed, if engineering can build a Rube Goldberg machine, and hopefully have a solo act that you all can watch if she makes it to finals. More competitions will follow on Thursday. Here’s a look back though at our district competition where some of them got their first taste of what senior state competition could be like and where the veteran Betas got to practice their skills more.

Adair County High School Beta Fans and Family! It is officially convention week. To countdown to Senior Betas official start, I’m going to be posting some things that we have done this year. For our Monday post, it’s going to be dedicated to the new members. Without new members joining, our Beta chapter could not thrive and grow. Here are a few photos from our induction ceremony that we held in the fall!

Taking a moment on fall break to go through and approve hours. With today’s approvals, ACHS Beta has logged 1000 community service hours. Currently we are ranked 3rd in the state!

Today ACHS Beta had the opportunity to attend Malvina Farkle Day at Lindsey Wilson University with a small group of students. They worked alongside the Green County High School Beta members to rotate through multiple service project stations. They spent the morning writing cards for organizations to pass out to veterans/military service members, the elderly, and children’s hospitals. In another station, they made toiletry bags for JOY Ministries. At the last station they decorated t-shirts for the Lake Cumberland Children’s Advocacy group. So proud of these servant leaders for how they represented themselves, our club, our school, and the Adair County Community. ACHS Beta would also like to thank Lindsey Wilson Bonner Scholars and the Lindsey Wilson University staff for inviting us for this day of service learning. We look forward to bringing more Betas with us next year if you’ll have us!

Last Friday night was homecoming for ACHS and Beta was so well represented! Proud of all the Betas who represented different clubs, but extra proud of Keely Kerns for being our representative. NHS, which runs right along side with Beta now, was represented by Shayla Coffman. Thank you ladies for representing Beta/NHS! Photo credit to Jessi Janes, she did such a fantastic job on the homecoming photos!
