May was an exciting month full of new beginnings for our students! Our second-years completed their thesis presentations and graduated, and our first-years wrapped up Maymester to get ready for their summer rotations. Read more about what our students did this month on our blog!

This month we are highlighting the Bleeding Disorders Association of South Carolina. This nonprofit organization works to increase awareness of bleeding disorders, provide education/support services to families, and raise money for advocacy efforts.

Our students had such a great time volunteering for the BDASC 5k walk this past Saturday! They worked hard to help the event run smoothly while also having some fun!

Finally, our last group to highlight is our most recent graduates, the Class of 2026! We are excited for them to start a career in genetic counseling and can’t wait to see what they will accomplish!!

A big congratulations to our graduating seniors!🥳🧬We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and all of your hard work over the past two years. We cannot wait to see the amazing things you’ll do as you move into your careers!

Next up in our anniversary celebration is the class of 2024! We’re so grateful for their contributions to our program! Some of their favorite memories from the program are Soda City Market, the Med School Formal, women’s basketball games (including a victory parade in 2024), and all you can eat sushi nights!
