SVASC has been very busy lately! We attended the Field Day event hosted by SGA and SPC. We attended another amazing breathworks class put on by Amy LaHue with Enlightened Breath! We also attended a therapeutic gardening class put on my SVASC's President, Amara Reddick! We have so much more in store, so stay tuned!

We learned that simply taking some deep, belly breaths make a huge impact on your overall wellbeing. This was the perfect opportunity to connect with students and learn healthy coping mechanisms during the stressful upcoming end of the semester.

Our Student Veterans of America Open House on March 11 was such a success. We had an amazing mix of community partners, nearby universities, veteran organizations, and students, veterans, service members, and allies, all in one space.

What stood out most? The energy. People genuinely want to be part of this community.

SVA isn’t just for veterans, it’s for anyone who connects to the mission and wants to support those who’ve served. We’ve got a lot planned this year and would love more people involved.

Mission Promise Kept was proud to partner with Combat Boots and High Heels to host a powerful wellness event for our Service Members and Veterans at Stephens College.

It was grounding, energizing, and exactly the kind of space our women who served deserve.

We are raising money that will go towards our list of goals including the ability to send students to the Student Veterans of America National Conference!

Hello friends!

We are looking for 🎟raffle item donations🎟 for Student Veterans of America Stephens College as we plan for our open house! This will provide us with funding for group activities such as therapeutic gardening, to purchase winter items, hygiene products, and basic dry goods for student veterans experiencing food and housing insecurities, allow students to attend the SVA National Conference, and so much more! If you or someone you know may be willing to donate items, please comment or reach out! We are super excited to support student veterans and service members in the best ways we know how. If you would like to make a financial contribution so that we can purchase raffle items or have something specific you'd like us to purchase on your behalf, simply send me a message!

We mostly serve women veterans and service members, so I am really hoping to have some type of self-care basket or arts and crafts basket of sort!

Hello friends! Student Veterans of America Stephens College is officially official!!! We are a chapter here at Stephens who supports current and prior service members as they navigate their education, life, mental health, family, service and more while attending Stephens College. We are starting from scratch and are asking for help which will allow us to accomplish our goals this semester as we have many great things planned and items needed such as:

- create a give/ take space for student veterans experiencing housing and food insecurity
- dry unexpired foods🥫
- business type clothing👔
- winter coats, gloves, scarves, new winter hats, hand warmers🧤
- sunscreen for the summer! ☀️
- therapeutic gardening or potting plants class (need soil, small or mini pots, and plants or starts from plants!)🪴
- toy box for student veterans with children to create inclusive and welcoming veterans center
- children’s toys (used or new)🧸
- raffle items needed (prefer 3-4 items)🎟️
- birthday cards to make for veterans at the VA
- dry erase markers
- magnets

We have created an Amazon link as well but will take any other similar items that are available! We are hoping to host our open house next month to raise funds for SVASC! We have several membership statuses as well which allows alumni, supporters of veterans, current or previous service members, and military families to join which means YOU can be a member!!! We are in the process of developing a Student Veterans of America Stephens College chapter!!! These ladies have been working hard and have many great ideas in the works.
