A moment for the last pregnant belly I will ever have. What a wild ride my body has been through in the last 10 years. 6 weeks in the world with the blessing we didn’t know we needed.

I feel crazy saying it gets easier with every baby but it really does! These are things I wish I knew the first time around.

1. Very loose feeding schedule. When baby is hungry feed him. I’m not worried about him being on a schedule right now just keeping him happy, fed and lots of snuggles.

2. Contact naps basically all the time. He gets put down sometimes but if he wants to be held even to sleep that’s what we are doing. You can’t spoil a newborn baby. Also helps that big brother and sister love to hold him when they are home.

3. I do ALL night time feedings. Husband sleeps and gets up with the other 3 kids in the morning and gets them to school. I get to sleep in which makes all the difference on both of us not being nearly as tired. Him bringing me Starbucks or breakfast is also a bonus lol

4. Baby wearing. If I do need to get something done like wash bottles or laundry I put baby in the wrap and wear him. He is happy and I have both my hands.

5. No visitors. I honestly haven’t had to tell anybody no but it has been amazing not having to worry about that and having just our family together for these first few weeks!
