The "Missouri Tomato School" is coming up in May 16-18, 2023. We will feature national and regional experts, as well as successful tomato farmers to share the latest best practices, and time honored methods with Missouri’s growers.
Program summary:
-May 16th: lectures that will be offered in-person in St. Louis with a simultaneous online stream via Zoom.
-May 17th: Farm tours in St. Louis
-May 18th: Farm tours in Central or Southwest MO

I'm honored to be invited as a panelist inthe sixth installment of UniverCities Exchange. We will explore ways that various forms of urban agriculture can increase food production and distribution to reduce food insecurity and shrink cities' food deserts. MU Extension will be offering the next series in the Specialty Crop Business Management: Part 3 – Marketing. This will be a 4-session series beginning Tuesdays July 12 – Aug 2 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm via Zoom. All sessions will be recorded and available for those who can’t attend the sessions live. Fifteen beginning farmer scholarships of $30 off the $50 registration fee is available on a first come, first serve basis. So register quickly before they are all gone.
