My Lucca creative retreat felt like a dream. The people, the landscape, the food, the light—it was an experience that overflowed my cup and left me filled with joy and inspiration.

Huge thanks to @silvia_bifaro for hosting with me, and @legreenstudio @silviarocchiphotography for helping us and bringing their magic to the week 🪄

And to our profoundly wonderful group of attendees, gathered from all corners of the globe. It was an absolute blast to be able to get to know each and every one of you, I am so inspired by your backgrounds, your journeys, and your passion for creating and for adventure. It was an honor to share this with you 🫶 @denise.ef @kolbrunpalina @cathygruhnphoto @girlswithcameras.etc @Ils_llc @oldtownbakeryladysmith @virginie_dion.photographe @ooh_lalaits_vegan Shannette and Sarah

I was so excited to share a @errer.backdrops surface with every attendee, themed in Tuscan colors and textures. A *giant* thanks to them for sharing those with all of us to bring a bit of Tuscany home with us! And to @silviaceramics for loaning us her gorgeous pieces for the event. There’s still some of the oval platters left in her collection (I could only fit one in my suitcase!), so you should DM her before they’re all gone.

If you’re interested in my future retreats, you can join the mailing list via the link in my bio 📝

I have soooo many more photos from this retreat, the location, light, and Tuscan produce was absolutely jaw-dropping. I’ll be sharing more in the weeks to come, too, so stay tuned! 🌞

The retreat put several of my loves in one space (family, new friends, food, landscapes and learning). Italy was a place I've dreamed of visiting for several years now. I am so thankful that I got to meet and be inspired in such a beautiful space. The spirit of the retreat is only dimly captured by our photographs and memories. My cup and heart are full and brimming over with licorice tea (black with no sugar 😂).

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Women’s Summit: Women Who Launch, Lead & Build a Legacy, hosted by the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the Greater Women’s Business Council.

It was an inspiring day filled with meaningful conversations with women who are building businesses, leading organizations, and shaping the future of our communities. Spaces like this remind me how powerful it is when women come together to exchange ideas, share lessons learned, and support one another’s growth.

I am especially grateful for the connections made with leaders who are thinking strategically about sustainability, workforce development, and innovation in their industries. The energy in the room reflected what is possible when collaboration and vision engage.

As an entrepreneur and consultant, I value opportunities to continue these conversations beyond the event itself. If we connected yesterday, or if you are exploring ways to strengthen your organization, clarify a business idea, or design systems that support growth, I would welcome the opportunity to continue the conversation.

You can schedule a consultation through my website.
Grateful for the community of women who are launching ideas, leading change, and building lasting legacies.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Women’s Summit: Women Who Launch, Lead & Build a Legacy, hosted by the South Carolina Department of Commerce and the Greater Women’s Business Council.

What stood out most were the conversations happening between sessions. Women sharing insights about leadership, entrepreneurship, growth, and the challenges that come with building something meaningful. The willingness to exchange ideas, offer encouragement, and explore collaboration made the experience especially impactful.

Spaces like this remind me that sustainable leadership and entrepreneurship rarely develop in isolation. They grow through relationships, shared learning, and the courage to engage in honest conversations about the work.

I am grateful for the connections made and the opportunity to learn alongside women who are launching ideas, leading organizations, and building lasting legacies.

If we connected yesterday, I would love to stay in touch. And if you are refining a business idea, strengthening your strategy, or exploring your next step as an entrepreneur, I invite you to schedule a consultation so we can continue the conversation.

Friends and family it's Friday! The week is almost done.

Tortillas. Fresh veggies. Pickled onions. Seasoned avocado. (Chicken, for the meat lovers in my family).

This was a simple meal that brought us together as a family. Let's be honest, everyone got to choose the ingredients for the meal, but it was only one meal prep for me.

Believe me. The kitchen table is where: Conversations happen. Problems get solved. Stories are shared.

Good, wholesome food builds strong bodies and the time spent together builds relationships and community.

What’s your family’s favorite weeknight meal?

This week my entrepreneurial journey looks like this...
Flour on the counter. Emails in between proofing. Recipe testing while answering client calls. Laundry running. Ideas brewing.
Salubrious Kitchen is more than food. It’s systems. It’s intention. It’s building something that lasts.

This is my working Wednesday reminder to build slowly (like how slowly my dough rises 😅) and build well.

Bread is chemistry and most people don’t realize it. But here’s what fascinates me most...bread is also applied science.

Fermentation. Gas formation. Protein structure. Heat transfer.

This is why "The Kitchen is my Lab: A STEAM Cookbook Text" matters.

Learning can rise in the kitchen.

Would you try bread as a science lesson with your scholars?

Yesterday I made bread 🍞 for the first time (mini loaves).

Between grocery shopping, laundry, breakfast (French toast + eggs), dinner (air fryer chicken, homemade mashed potatoes, and broccoli), and baking a cake for a friend, I decided to try something new.

Homemade bread!

It wasn’t perfect (I'm hoping to decrease the time spent making it). It was definitely an experience. I will see what the children think this morning.

Momentum just requires movement.

What are you trying for the first time this week?

02/28/2026

All packed up and rolling out.

Today was full of familiar faces, new conversations, and shared tastes. My mini me and I are grateful for everyone who stopped by, sampled, supported, and connected.

Moments like this remind me that small batch work is really about community.

If you visited today, tell me your favorite flavor.
If you missed it, which preserve would you want to try first?

Until next time.
