We are constantly surprised how many local friends have never heard of Watershed Public Theatre! Every production is excellent, and we actually have some connections:
✨ One of our studio parents is…the lead in Cyrano!
✨ Our office assistant Sarah works with Watershed
✨ A studio dad frequently directs shows
✨ One of our students is the props and costumes assistant for this show
✨ Kenton plays violin for their shows when they use live music

But even without those fun connections, we’d be eager to support Watershed. They bring truly excellent art to our community, and providing free shows like this one coming up at Riverwalk is just one way you can see how much they care about our community.

So please go enjoy an excellent show and enjoy the festival!

Just a few of the things our students are excited to learn this fall! 🤩 As we kick off our SIXTH year of music classes for the families of Columbia, we’re reminded of how much we love this community and the sweet students we get to see every week at the studio!

There’s something extra-special about the orange star in the photo above: Jordan is our son, and he’s in his very first piano lessons this year! He was born the same summer we opened Muletown School of Music, and now our dream of having this be a place we can raise our own kids as we serve the community is coming true! ❤️❤️❤️

When you choose us, you’re not only choosing excellent music education for your kids, you’re also supporting a local family and our dream of bringing something of great value to a community we truly love. We could be many other places, performing and teaching in a very different educational setting, but we’ve chosen a quieter life, loving and investing in this sweet place we’ve chosen to call home.

🎻 Did you know Mr. Kenton has been playing the violin since he was just 10 years old? After many years of playing professionally, he still loves making music—whether it’s performing violin & viola solos, playing in orchestras, or making music with small ensembles. 🎶

Kenton has some RARE openings for students right now, and he’d love to help you or your kids discover the joy of playing violin! ❤️ Violin can be a tricky instrument, but he’s especially good at helping breaking down the complex technique to help his students find beautiful tone with ease.

Whether your child is picking up violin or viola for the very first time, or is looking for an advanced teacher to take them to the next level, Kenton would be happy to work with them!

Current violin/viola openings (these will fill up soon - it’s rare for Kenton to have more than 1-2 violin openings!!)

This is a wonderful group to be part of if you love to sing! The director is none other than our good friend Susan Rosalbo Callahan, who taught voice and piano with us (we still miss you, Susan, even though you’re doing so many awesome things!!).

Susan creates wonderful programs for the chorale, twice a year, and you don’t want to miss their open house at the end of August!

A quick update from our family: Two weeks ago, Rebekah and our two young children were involved in a serious car accident. We're incredibly grateful that no one was seriously injured, but Rebekah is recovering from several injuries, including another concussion and an injured right hand, and will be taking some time away from teaching and office work.

As a result, we'll be quieter than usual on social media, and it will take us longer to respond to messages, emails, and texts. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this season.

We're deeply grateful for the prayers, encouragement, and support our community has shown our family. ❤️ Recovery has brought a number of unexpected expenses, and because the other driver was uninsured, we're currently covering many costs out of pocket while navigating the insurance process.
