A few weeks ago, the Controller’s Office came together for our Internal Conference Day 2026: Grow Together, Succeed Together
We were honored to have Ed Walton, Executive Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer, kick off this year’s conference by recognizing the hard work our team puts into producing clean and accurate financial reports and by sharing his positive perspective on USC’s current leadership and direction. His remarks set an energizing tone for the day ahead.
The morning sessions gave our staff the opportunity to learn from one another, as well as from the Bursar’s Office, Just FOIA, and our Principal Investigators sharing insights, expertise, and perspectives that strengthen how we work together.
In the afternoon, our team partnered with Organizational Excellence for a hands-on process improvement session. Building on last year’s high-level presentation, we worked in small groups using simple yet powerful tools to make problem-solving clearer, faster, and more effective.
We wrapped up the day with Student Health and Well-Being, focusing on the importance of nutrition, exercise, self-care, and sleep in maintaining energy and focus.
