I am sitting here watching animal trainers trying to give a lioness the feeling of living in the wild. They put a papier-mâché zebra full of treats in the lioness exhibit thinking that the lioness is going to run up an attack it like it would do in the wild. The lioness came running toward the fake zebra and then immediately stop in her tracks. She looked puzzle and curious. The lioness walks over to the fake zebra and knocked it over and then stood there with a look of disappointment on her face.
What trainers did not consider that part of getting the prize was the chase. As I watched this segment again, I realize the lioness wanted and was willing to put the work in to achieve her goal. This reminded me of what Dr. Stephanie M. Kirkland said yesterday that we must do the work to have the desired change that is necessary. This applies to every aspect of our lives: health, relationships, professional, personal, and spiritual.

Unlike the lioness, we do not have to wait for someone to orchestrate what we need. God has already equipped us with everything we need for every aspect of our lives. So ladies, I have two questions for you:
1. Have you identified the areas of your life that needs your attention?

2. And are you willing to do the work that is necessary to improve or have growth in those areas?

This week I have met with a few women who are now struggling to adjust to their companies’ new structure and are fearful of losing their jobs. The consistent theme from our conversations is complacency. They had gotten comfortable to where they did not notice that their company’s focus was changing prior to the pandemic.
The situation these ladies are in is not unique. It is happening everywhere, even companies that are financially stable are making changes.
