People chase visibility because it's measurable:

Followers, views, and impressions are easy to count. But trust is different.

You can't always measure the moment someone decides,

"This is the person I want to learn from."
Or,
"This is the company I want to work with."

For years, digital marketing was centered around one question:

"How do I get seen?"

Today, I think there's a better question:

"Why should someone trust me once they find me?"

As search evolves and AI becomes a bigger part of how people discover businesses, expertise and credibility matter more than ever.

Not because trust suddenly became important, but because technology is finally catching up to the way people have always made decisions.

The businesses that thrive won't necessarily be the ones creating the most content. They'll be the ones creating the most confidence.

Visibility gets you noticed.

Trust gets you chosen.

Fun fact: I geek out over documentaries 🤓

I could easily spend an entire day watching a series about how things are made, what happens behind the scenes, or the people who make extraordinary experiences possible.

There’s just something about the story behind the story that fascinates me.

This weekend, I stumbled across a documentary I’d completely forgotten I had watched a couple years ago.

But watching it a second time hit very differently... and inspired this reel.

A little shoutout to for bringing it back into my recommendations, to Grand Hyatt Baha Mar for creating a destination that’s just as impressive behind the scenes as it is in person, and to the incredible team at WPW Conferences for creating an experience I’ll always remember.

If you had asked me 20 years ago where my career would take me, I never would have predicted the path.

Architecture and construction. Luxury bridal and wedding industry pros. Medical devices, MedTech and healthcare. (And hopefully a few more chapters still waiting to be written 😉 )

At first glance, those industries don't seem to have much in common. But looking back, I can see there was always a thread connecting them.

Every industry had its own language, its own challenges, and its own definition of success. Yet the questions I found myself helping people answer were remarkably similar.

How do we build trust?
How do we communicate our value?
How do we simplify something complex?
How do we help people feel confident in their decisions?

Somewhere along the way, I realized something that changed how I think about my work.

I've never built my career around an industry. I've always built it around a way of thinking.

Industries pivot.

Technology evolves.

Algorithms change.

But human behavior doesn't.

No matter the room I've walked into, I've found that people are all looking for the same things: clarity, confidence, trust, and solutions that make their lives better.

Looking back, I think that's been the thread connecting every chapter of my career all along.

One of the major reasons I don't get caught up in every marketing trend is because I've watched this cycle repeat itself for decades now.

New platforms emerge.
Technology advances.
Algorithms change.

Each shift convinces us that everything has changed and we have to start over.

But when you look a little deeper, the fundamentals are remarkably consistent.

People still want to trust who they're buying from.
They still look for credibility.
They still choose brands that make them feel understood.

The technology will keep changing. But the businesses that endure will be the ones that understand what never changes.

As a Cancer, my birthday isn't just a day. It's practically a season. ♋

Looking back through birthdays over the years, I noticed something I hadn't really thought about before.

Yes, the places changed and the version of me in each photo changed.

But one thing stayed remarkably consistent. I always found my way back to the water.

Whether it was the ocean, a pool, or this year's quiet day at Balian Springs, it seems I've always been drawn to places that invite me to slow down, reflect, and simply be.

Maybe some parts of us evolve, while others quietly remain the same.

This birthday introduced me to another version of myself. One that didn't need a packed schedule or a big celebration to feel full. Just a little stillness, a little gratitude, and, apparently... water.

Looking back, I think that's been true all along.

Have you ever looked back at old photos and noticed a pattern about yourself that you never realized was there?

Some of the best reminders show up when life doesn't go according to plan.

Over the holiday weekend, a hailstorm knocked out our power. What could have easily become an evening of frustration turned into something unexpectedly beautiful.

Watching my kids naturally trade their screens for a chess board and a deck of cards reminded me of something I don't think we hear often enough.

Technology is an incredible gift. It allows us to learn, build businesses, create opportunities, and stay connected across any distance.

But every once in a while, it's healthy to be reminded that our best moments don't always require a screen.

As someone who spends much of my time talking about how to connect through digital strategy, I don't believe technology and human connection compete with one another. I believe they're at their best when they complement each other.

Sometimes it takes an unexpected interruption like a power outage to remind us that the moments we'll remember most are often the simplest ones.

This weekend was one of those moments for me.

It reminded me that the strongest connections don’t depend on technology. They depended human interaction.

Connection is still the strategy. ❤️

Cancer season reminder ♋

As a Cancer, I've spent years navigating a world that told me my empathy was a liability in business.

It never was.

Empathy without strategy stays small. Strategy without empathy falls flat. But together? That's the whole game.

Being deeply caring and highly strategic isn't a contradiction… it's my superpower. 🤍

Fellow Cancers, is this your experience too? Drop a ♋ below.

You are so loved ❤️

I couldn't think of a more fitting message for today.
As we celebrate freedom, honor history, and recognize the beauty of our diverse communities, may we continue creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and loved.

Happy Juneteenth! ❤️

One of the greatest privileges of being a speaker is attending conferences and meeting amazing people along the way.

Over the past six months, I've had the opportunity to speak in some incredible rooms and while I hope the presentations and insights I share are memorable, for me it's the genuine connections I’ve made that are unforgettable.

Google I/O 2026 made one thing very clear:

The future of search isn't about who gets the most attention. It's about who is the most relevant answer.

Google's AI Overviews now reach more than 2.5 billion users, and AI Mode has surpassed 1 billion monthly users. The way people discover information is evolving quickly. But here's the interesting part... This isn't a new conversation.

Back in 2016, when I created my DMO (Digital Media Optimization) framework, I defined SEO with a simple equation:

SEO = Frequency + Relevancy + Recency

Not because it sounded good. Because that's how trust is built.

Show up consistently.

Create content that genuinely matters to the people you serve.

Stay current and continue contributing to the conversation.

For years, many businesses focused on chasing rankings, clicks, and algorithms. Today, AI is reinforcing what mattered all along: authority, context, expertise, and relevance. The brands that will thrive in this next era won't necessarily be the loudest. They'll be the clearest. The most helpful. The most trusted. Stop chasing attention. Start creating relevance.

What do you think will matter most as AI continues to reshape search? 👇🏾
