Congratulations to Crimson Tide Football on earning the program’s 500th win with a 27–7 victory over J.P. McCaskey! This milestone represents the dedication, hard work, and pride of generations of players, coaches, and supporters. We are incredibly proud of this tradition and everyone who helped build it.

We can’t wait to see you back tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th, as we kick off the 2026–27 school year! 🎉

August 25: First day for Grades 1–12

August 25–27: Modified Kindergarten schedule-kindergarten students will not attend a full school day. Instead, each child will come to school for a scheduled one-on-one visit with their teacher.

August 28: First full day for Kindergarten

Let’s make this year one filled with learning, growth, and new memories. 💛❤️

🎒 The first day of school is almost here!

Visit CBSD’s Back-to-School Headquarters for calendars, school schedules, arrival and dismissal procedures, meal information, registration, school supplies, ParentSquare resources and more.

✅ Returning families: Please complete the Annual Student Information Update in PowerSchool for each student.

📅 Important Dates:

Aug. 13: Hill Campus Self-Guided Tours, 9–11 a.m.
Aug. 20: Park Back-to-School Night, 4–6 p.m.
Aug. 20: Taylor Back-to-School Night, 5–7 p.m.
Aug. 25: First day for grades 1–12
Aug. 25–27: Kindergarten modified schedule
Aug. 28: First full day of kindergarten
Aug. 28: Hill Campus Back-to-School Night, 3:30–5:30 p.m., followed by a tailgate and high school football game

Kindergarten Families: We Heard Your Questions!

We know many kindergarten families have been asking, "What is a Modified Kindergarten Schedule?" We hope this helps explain what to expect as your child begins their kindergarten journey!

To help our newest learners have a smooth start, kindergarten students will begin the school year on a modified schedule. During the first three days of school(August 25, August 26, August 27), kindergarten students will not attend a full school day. Instead, each child will come to school for a scheduled one-on-one visit with their teacher.

During this visit:
🍎 Your child will meet their teacher in a calm, welcoming environment.
📚 Teachers will complete beginning-of-the-year activities and assessments.
👨‍👩‍👧 A parent or guardian will stay with their child for the entire visit.

This modified schedule gives our youngest learners the opportunity to become comfortable in their new classroom while allowing teachers to get to know each child before the full class begins.

📞 Beginning the week of July 27, Ms. Houser will contact families to schedule their child's one-hour visit.

🎒 All kindergarten students will begin attending school for a full day on Friday, August 28.
