Happy Mother's Day to so many of you. Some Fathers included.
As many of you know, I have been in education for over twenty-five years in the school district or in early childhood.
It has been a rewarding and passionate journey, but on May 22, 2026, I will be stepping down as Director of Bright New Beginnings CDC, LLC.
God uniquely gifts us and places a call inside of our hearts to start things...He gifted me long ago to start a Christian school, I shifted from, and I have to try and redirect myself, while trying to keep the ministry of the center, because at this point, most people who have small childcare facilities in SC have ministries. We give free food to parents, we cut our prices, and we take children for free. We have a ministry....
But our graduation is May 14, 2026, at 6:30pm, and any alumni can RSVP for me to come.
So they can see their friends and of course say goodbye...
After May 22, 2026, a new Director will be in charge, and I will be moving forward with starting a Christian school.
Honestly, if anyone notice.., vouchers ending, large charter school from Arizona???? Let me stop.. There before..

Hummmm...
This week...my facility has lost 3 more childcare vouchers..my rent and staff pay has not changed with that loss....I have parents not paying regular rates. This is the norm for many childcare facilities since December.
How many candidates are just now waking up to a problem we have had for years? SC First Steps and other State run programs dont get cut...but DSS programs get cut???. How many people work in these organizations that cover multiple facilities? They are over worked as well...

And yeah dont question who I support...question why?
For five years I reached out to candidates about late payments, how vouchers are structured, etc. No one ever responded. I wrote letters and emails.
Almost weekly I sent letters...to republican and democratic leaders..

So now we are putting together a luncheon for parents and childcare owners who have lost their voucher coverage. My attorney is a Civil Rights attorney and supports the cause with other local well known pastors...

If you know me, I have fault for changes before...
So rather you agree or not with the direction I choose, I hope those that know me support my path because you know I only do what I do for the community and my parents..
