Violet Vonder Haar has over 10 years of experience teaching music in the private studio and the classroom. In 2010 she graduated from Central Methodist University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, with an emphasis on vocal training. She has taught general music at Lange Middle School, Stephens College Children’s School, Columbia Montessori School, Windsor Street Montessori and Compass M
usic Camp. She is currently the director of Music Ministry at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbia and the founder of Violet and the Undercurrents and Jane Doe R***e. All students have a home in Violet's Songbird Studio, regardless of gender, identity, age, religion, race or ability. Violet’s unique teaching style is centered around creative exploration and growth. Each lesson is catered to the student’s particular musical tastes and ability. Her goal as a teacher is to help students find their truest creative selves through music.
